Dura-Coignet folly: part 1

Algemeen

Architectuur

In the sixties, hundreds of dwellings were built with the ‘Dura-Coignet’ system in the Rijnmond region: Prefabrication with prefab concrete elements, introduced in the Netherlands by building contractor Job Dura and architect Ernest Groosman. The factory that made the elements was located at the Bunschoterweg on the Heijplaat, near the Eemhaven.
